The digitalisation of moving pictures can be ignored or denigrated - or it can be seen as a real chance for independent cinema. The first step is to find out as much as possible about the new technology: digital distribution and projection will provoke changes in working practice in all areas of our industry. VERTICALdigital prepares you intensively for the changes this new technology will bring about. We offer training modules for two target audiences:
VERTICALdigital cinema is aimed at cinema operators and projectionists. This two-day seminar provides a basic introduction to the technologies necessary for digital projection and content management, including training on digital projectors and IT software. A playout centre and server software are at your disposal for practicals.
VERTICALdigital production is a one-day seminar for producers. It will provide an overview on the requirements of (post)-production in the digital future and address the issues of delivery under these new circumstances.
Objective: hands-on preparation for the requirements the new digital technologies will bring about.
